Winnipeg Free Press – Evander Kane was interviewed on The Team 1040 radio station in Vancouver and he hasn’t exactly denied the trade rumours swirling around him.
Host: Evander do you want to play for the Winnipeg Jets anymore?
Kane: Well, I think I’m a Winnipeg Jet right now, and, you know, there’s been speculation and rumors the three years since I got there. So, you know, we’ll see what happens and we’ll carry on as if I’m a Winnipeg Jet.
Cardiac Cane: Dany Heatley in talks with Carolina Hurricanes, Winnipeg Jets, and New Jersey Devils. Heatley, 33, is coming off his worst point producing season since he entered the league in 2001.
The Toronto Star: Rosie DiManno’s prognosis for the rest of the Toronto Maple Leafs off-season. She says that no one is interested in trading for Dion Phaneuf or James Reimer, and that Marty Brodeur would not work. The team Toronto has now, is the team you will see next season.
