The Hockey News: Re-signing goaltender Devan Dubnyk should be on top of Chuck Fletcher’s list. While it’s tempting to re-sign him to a lucrative long-term deal, there’s also the risk Dubnyk could struggle to maintain his Vezina-worthy form. Fletcher will look at trading Niklas Backstrom to free up cap space. Backstrom is more likely to be bought out, freeing up $2.7 million in cap space for ’15-’16.

It’s believed the Buffalo Sabres have interest in Senators starting goalie Craig Anderson but Friedman wonders if the Sens would move him to a division rival.
