Luke Schenn

CSNPhilly.com: The Philadelphia Flyers would like to free up cap space. GM Ron Hextall will try to find trade suitors for defensemen Luke Schenn and Nicklas Grossmann, but doesn’t see any takers for blueliner Andy MacDonald’s hefty contract.

The Fourth Period: Will the Minnesota Wild be able to resign goalie Devan Dubnyk? Dubnyk, 29, is set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1. According to the St. Paul Pioneer-Press, Dubnyk is “certain to sign a contract extension” with the Wild, but what type of deal he’ll command remains to be seen.

Ottawa Citizen: The Ottawa Senators have begun contract talks with Andrew Hammond and other pending free agents. GM Bryan Murray has said he would be trying to acquire a top-six forward via trade or free agency, as well as moving a veteran or two who may be looking for more playing time elsewhere.
