Fan 590: Glenn Healy was on the Fan 590 and was asked if he thinks the Toronto Maple Leafs will make any moves at the 2017 NHL Trade Deadline. Healy feels the Leafs will only make a trade if it makes sense for the club. He doubts they will trade a 2017 or 2018 1st round draft pick for a rental player like Kevin Shattenkirk. Healy feels the Leafs are a playoff team but they should not trade away young assets to improve the team.

ESPN: Craig Custance reports around March 1st, the Las Vegas Golden Knights will be able to start making player transactions. That includes making trades that are related to the NHL expansion draft.
Will Arizona Coyotes goalie Mike Smith be traded?
AZCentral: Sarah McLellan recently reported Arizona Coyotes goaltender Mike Smith hasn’t considered waiving his no-trade clause to explore new possibilities with another club. Smith told McLellan he’s optimistic over his future with the Coyotes. He’s currently in the fourth season of a six-year, $34-million contract.
