It has been quite a while since Phil Kessel popped up in the NHL trade rumors mill. He is an unrestricted free agent and looking for a new team to play on next season.
Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek were on their 32 Thoughts Podcast and chatted about Kessel ending up in Edmonton.
Marek believes he would be a fit there and give them some additional scoring.
Kessel, 34, has earned over $91 million in his career so he is not looking to land a big contract. He would likely sign a deal for $1 million next season on a playoff contending team.
