New York Islanders are shopping Jaroslav Halak
Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman is reporting the New York Islanders are shopping Jaroslav Halak. Halak acknowledged expressing his displeasure over the three-goalie situation, saying he tried to tell management it wasn’t ideal. GM Garth Snow sent an email around the league indicating Halak was available, but one of the sources said the Isles haven’t received any offers for the veteran netminder.
Boston Bruins forward Ryan Spooner available for trade
Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman is reporting Boston Bruins forward Ryan Spooner could be available. Though he’s struggled early this season, Spooner netted 49 points last season and has a reasonable salary ($1 million). The Bruins could use Spooner in a package to make a trade for Jacob Trouba.
