It’s no secret the Bruins have been looking to add on defense, and Spooner makes a ton of sense as a literal centerpiece going the other way in a potential trade.

The Fourth Period: The Ottawa Senators are in the market for bottom-six forward and GM Pierre Dorion is exploring his options. The Senators have just under $7.3 million in available salary cap space. It’s also unclear what the Senators are willing to offer in exchange for depth in their bottom-six, whether it’s an active NHL player, a prospect, a draft pick or a combination of the sort.
