Detroit Red Wings looking to make some trades
The Detroit News: Detroit Red Wings Ken Holland is looking to make some trades to free up some cap space after the signings of Petr Mrazek and Danny DeKeyser. Holland said he’d prefer not to go the buyout route and rather trade a player. Holland would like to trade goalie Jimmy Howard.
Tampa Bay Lightning hoping to trade Ben Bishop
The Fourth Period: GM Steve Yzerman told the Tampa Bay Times that he will likely have to make a trade this summer in order to create additional space to re-sign Kucherov, center Vladislav Namestnikov and defenseman Nikita Nesterov. Tampa tried to trade goalie Ben Bishop to the Calgary Flames last month. The Dallas Stars and Buffalo Sabres have been rumored to have shown interest in Bishop. If the Lightning cannot trade Bishop, Yzerman will look to trade center Valtteri Filppula and defenseman Jason Garrison.
