Will the Buffalo Sabres trade Evander Kane?

The Hockey News: The legal troubles of Buffalo Sabres Evander Kane resulted in the 25-year-old becoming a frequent fixture in the trade rumor mill. Kane is linked to the Vancouver Canucks and Anaheim Ducks. Both clubs lack offensive depth on the left side. The Buffalo Sabres would like to trade Kane, but Kane’s value is very low right now. If the Sabres hope to move Kane, their best hope is for things to quiet down for him away from the rink while his on-ice performance improves, then the Sabres will get the best value for him.

Will the Leafs make a trade for Jacob Trouba?

TSN 1050: Darren Dreger was on the radio and was asked are the Toronto Maple Leafs interested in Jacob Trouba? Dreger feels the Leafs will contact the Jets about Trouba but the asking price in return would be Morgan Reilly which the Leafs will not do and it would take more than Jake Gardiner. Trouba also wants a long-term deal at $7 million/year. Rumors are that GM Kevin Cheveldayoff wants a good young defenseman under contract as part of the return.

Latest Tobias Rieder rumors

Arizona Republic: Arizona Coyotes winger Tobias Rieder will be meeting with the Coyotes when the World Cup tournament is over, and if an agreement for the RFA is not reached, Rieder won’t attending the Coyotes training camp. Rieder’s agent says, “We’ve made them a fair offer at two years at $2.5 million a year, and they’re unwilling to do it.” Coyotes GM John Chayka states: “He’s a big part of our team, and we like him a lot. We feel like we’ve made him some real considerable long-term offers that are right on par with the longest offers we’ve ever made in this organization.”
