NHL Trade Rumors earlier this offseason had the Vancouver Canucks either trading Travis Hamonic or he could opt-out of the NHL season.
Hamonic signed a two-year, $6 million contract extension with the Canucks ahead of reaching free agency in July.
Canucks GM Jim Benning has stated, “Just leave the guy alone and let him figure out what he needs to figure out. I’m in constant communication with his agent and he’s got a decision to make with how he’s feeling about everything. When he lets me know, we’ll work from there.”
It is rumored that Hamonic is unvaccinated and that is the reason he is not playing in the NHL right now.
