The Anaheim Ducks received some bad news on Jamie Drysdale. He will be out 4-6 months to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
Why a torn labrum takes so long to heal. The labrum is the attachment site for the shoulder ligaments and supports the ball-and-socket joint as well as the rotator cuff tendons and muscles.
Drysdale injured his should when he was crunched into the boards by Vegas Golden Knights forward William Carrier.
Drysdale, 20, is coming off an excellent sophomore season in which he tallied 32 points over 81 games in 2021-22.
