NHL trade rumors had floated around that the Montreal Canadiens could package Kirby Dach in a trade for Winnipeg Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois. Well we can put those rumors to rest for now.
Dach agreed to a four-year deal worth $13.5 million, which gives the Habs a salary cap hit of $3.36 million.
Dach, 21, was drafted 3rd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1st round of the 2019 NHL entry draft. Over the past 3 seasons he has a total 59 points in 152 games played, and 6 playoffs points in 9 games played.
