Will the Nashville Predators trade Filip Forsberg? He will likely be a 2021 NHL trade deadline move.

The Nashville Predators have struggled in the first quarter of the NHL season. The Preds are currently second-last in the NHL in points and rank 29th in win-percentage. NHL trade rumors have already gone around that the Predators could be busy as sellers at the 2021 NHL trade deadline.

Elliotte Friedman was on Hockey Night in Canada and reported that Filip Forsberg is available for a trade. Friedman said the three only untouchable Predators are Roman Josi, Ryan Ellis and Pekka Rinne.

Forsberg, 26, has a salary cap hit of $6 million with another year on his contract.

The Predators are looking at a full rebuild and will likely seek draft picks and top prospects in return for Forsberg. Playoff contenders that have salary cap space available will be calling the Preds to see what the asking price is.
