Jason Zucker signs a 5-year deal with the Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild have signed restricted free-agent forward Jason Zucker to a five-year, $27.5 million contract.  The contract comes with an average annual value of $5.5 million.

The 26-year-old left winger scored a career-high 33 goals and added a career-high 31 assists over 82 games with the Wild in 2017-18, his seventh year with the team.

Selected by the Wild in the second round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Zucker has scored 97 goals and 75 assists over 330 career regular-season games in the NHL.

The native of Newport Beach, Calif., has four goals and four assists over 31 career playoff games.

Zucker is coming off a three-year, $2.5 million deal.

Earlier this month, the Wild signed defenceman Matt Dumba to a five-year, $30 million contract.
