Now that he is injured, the Ducks may trade Sami Vatanen with the rise of prospects Brandon Montour and Shea Theodore. The Ducks have expressed interest in Tampa Bay Lightning left wing Jonathan Drouin.

The Hockey News: It is looking more and more like that Dustin Byfuglien will be moved at the 2016 NHL Trade Deadline. Rumors have surfaced that Byfuglien, 30, is seeking an eight-year, $55 million contract. That could put him out of the budget-conscious Jets’ comfort zone. Three teams that have interest in Byfuglien are the Washington Capitals, Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars.
Latest Eric Staal trade rumors
The News & Observer: Talks between Eric Staal and Carolina Hurricanes GM Ron Francis appear stagnant. Staal being traded at the trade deadline is most likely now. Staal does carry a full no-trade clause in his contract which will dictate where he wants to go.
