The latest NHL rumors have the LA Kings having a serious interest in Winnipeg Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois.

As we inch closer to the 2023 NHL draft, that means more and more NHL trade rumors are floating around. The NHL entry draft is really a busier month for trade rumors than the NHL trade deadline.

Everyone has Pierre-Luc Dubois pegged to be a Montreal Canadien, but there are a plethora of other teams interested in acquiring the big forward.

Pierre-Luc Dubois being traded to the LA Kings?

Elliotte Friedman was on his 32 Thoughts Podcast and mentioned that Pierre-Luc Dubois is looking for a long-term extension worth $9 million/year over eight years. He is seeking a Dylan Larkin and Mathew Barzal type of contract.

He went on to say in his Podcast hit that he is hearing that the LA Kings might take a serious run at Dubois.

What are NHL fans saying about a potential Pierre-Luc Dubois trade to the Kings?

Why would the Kings pay $9 mil/year for a second line center? That seems very very high for a guy whose career highs are 28g and 63pts.

Habs fan here. If he wants that sort of payday, the LA Kings can have him!

Dubois plays like a 90 point guy for 20 games, a 60 point guy for 40 games and disappears for the rest.
