Max Miller of The Hockey News reports that Kevin Labanc becoming an unrestricted free agent and the willingness of the San Jose Sharks to eat some of Labanc’s salary, make him a tradeable asset.

NHL trade rumors made the rounds back in July that the Vancouver Canucks would take Labanc and send Tyler Myers back to the Sharks.

With Myers due a $5 million bonus on September 1, a trade could come Labour Day weekend for Labanc with Myers finally heading to San Jose.

  1. Myers’s this Myers that, it is all BS, as i have said before, who carried the load of time on the ice. The coach knows who he can rely on!

  2. Myers is a liability. He plays well when he wants to, shows flashes of greatness one minute and gives the puck away the next. He makes poor decisions in his own zone as well and has been caught up ice more than a few times. Lose Myers and you gain automatically.
