Jonathan Bernier has been traded to the Anaheim Ducks. Anaheim sent Toronto a conditional pick in the 2017 draft in exchange for Bernier.
Bernier posted a 12-21-3 record with a .908 save percentage and a 2.88 goals-against average with the Maple Leafs last season, recording three shutouts.
The Maple Leafs paid Bernier a $2 million signing bonus on July 1, so the Ducks are only on the hook for $2.15 million in actual salary this season.
