Jake DeBrusk rumors are starting to circulate again. Earlier this season NHL Rumors were going around that Jake DeBrusk had requested a trade because he was tired of being in coach Bruce Cassidy’s dog house.
Pierre LeBrun was on TSN’s Insider Trading and stated Jake DeBrusk has not had a change of heart and would still like to be traded.
LeBrun went on to say, his agent has permission to talk to other teams about an extension which may help facilitate a trade, teams are worried about his qualifying offer worth $4.41M against the salary cap.
DeBrusk is having a bounce back season after an awful 2020-21 season. The big question now, do the Bruins want to trade him since he has been playing so well.
The Bruins would likely look at a DeBrusk trade if Boston acquires a forward to replace him. They will likely not want prospects or draft picks. The Bruins are in a win now mode.
