The latest NHL trade rumors for the Boston Bruins feature Jake DeBrusk. The the Bruins re-sign him or will he be traded?

Jake DeBrusk has been in the NHL trade rumors mill for several seasons due to his dislike for former head coach Bruce Cassidy, which led him to request a trade out of Boston.

Reports are now making the rounds that he wants to stay in Boston and wants to sign a long-term contract.

Jake DeBrusk will not be traded by the Boston Bruins

NHL trade rumors suggest that Jake DeBrusk is seeking an eight-year deal similar to the one recently signed by Brandon Hagel with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

It’s expected that Debrusk will request $6.5 million a year for the maximum term from the Bruins. If the NHL trade deadline arrives and Boston is not in a playoff position, the Bruins may consider trading DeBrusk for draft assets if a contract cannot be negotiated.

What are NHL Fans saying about the Boston Bruins signing Jake DeBrusk?

He will be traded. We need a centerman not not a winger.

Please Do not give him $6 million a year. DeBrusk needs to be packaged up for a legit center.

He will be paid and deserves it. I hope he stays with the Bruins long-term but I guess it depends on the year the B’s have.
