Will the Philadelphia Flyers target Seth jones this off-season? NHL rumors have the Flyers interested in Jones over Dougie Hamilton.

The Philadelphia Flyers will be spending their summer looking for a top-pairing, right-shot defenceman and it appears the Flyers will have a few options.

NHL Rumors have already been going around that the Flyers are one of a handful of teams interested in Dougie Hamilton.

On Toronto’s local radio station, TSN 1050 Overdrive, Pierre LeBrun was reporting the Philadelphia Flyers have interest in Seth Jones and are one of the few teams that can offer what the Columbus Blue Jackets are looking for.

LeBrun stated, “There are some teams in a position to perhaps offer those pieces (necessary to acquire Jones) more than others, like for example – there are so many teams that could use Seth Jones, the guy is an absolute stud – but not everyone can offer the same kind of pieces where, perhaps, players already in their early to mid 20s that can jump in and help Columbus; I think one of those teams is Philadelphia.”

Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the Philadelphia Flyers prefer to make a trade for Seth Jones rather than trying to sign Dougie Hamilton.

If the Flyers cannot land Jones or Hamilton, they may look at Arizona Coyotes Oliver Ekman-Larsson or Nashville’s Ryan Ellis as plan B options.
