The Patrick Kane rumors are picking up again after Kane’s agent told the media, that Kane will likely be traded, but Kane is going to take his time in making a decision on what team he wants to be traded to.
Four possible destinations for a Patrick Kane trade
Craig Button was on TSN and stated any team interested in winning the Stanley Cup should be all-in on a Patrick Kane trade. He listed four teams, the Calgary Flames, LA Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers as possible destinations.
Kane has a full no-move clause so in the end he controls where he wants to be traded to.
The Calgary Flames are Stanley Cup contenders. They have an excellent defense and a great goalie. But the team does lack on offence.
Button stated in his piece that the Flames have the players to support Patrick Kane and they should be in on a Patrick Kane trade.
The LA Kings are a team that has a bunch of good young players, a good coach and are just missing one piece.
Button feels a Kane trade will bolster the chances in the playoffs with a Patrick Kane addition.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have come up short the past few years in the playoffs and adding another offensive weapon to the lineup with help their Stanley Cup chances.
Craig Button feels the Penguins should add Patrick Kane to the lineup, he is a difference maker and the windows for the Pens to win is closing fast.
New York Rangers
The New York Rangers are a legit Stanley Cup contender even without Patrick Kane in the lineup.
Button feels if the NY Rangers can add Kane to their offence, they will be the team to beat come playoff time.
