Yes it is the Arizona Coyotes, not the Phoenix Coyotes have signed goaltender Devan Dubnyk to a one-year contract.
“We are very pleased to welcome Devan to our organization,” said Maloney. “Devan is a goaltender with great size, skill and experience. We are confident that he can continue to develop under the guidance of Sean Burke.”
Last season, the 6-foot-6, 210-pound Dubnyk played in 34 NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers and Nashville Predators recording 11 wins while posting a 3.43 goals against average (GAA) and a .891 save percentage (SV%). He also appeared in eight games with the Hamilton Bulldogs, the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, posting a 3.33 GAA and a .893 SV%.
In parts of five NHL seasons with Edmonton and Nashville, the 28-year-old native of Regina, Saskatchewan has played in 173 NHL games posting a record of 61-77-22 with a 2.90 GAA and a .909 SV%.
Dubnyk was originally drafted by Edmonton in the first round (14th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
