Daniel Carcillo, 28, formally of the LA Kings has been traded to the New York Rangers.
The Rangers surrender a seventh-round draft pick to acquire Carcillo to add some much needed toughness.
In 26 games with the Kings in 2013-14, Carcillo has scored one goal and one assist, adding 57 penalty minutes.
