Connor McDavid Edmonton Oilers

Since the NHL Trade Rumors are non-existent right now. Let’s talk about some point projections. Today we will focus on Edmonton Oilers super rookie Connor McDavid.

Sidney Crosby joined the Pittsburgh Penguins at 18 and posted 102 points in 81 games. By his second year was leading the NHL in scoring with 120 points as a 19-year-old.

The NHL has changed since Crosby joined the NHL and points are more harder to come by. If we assume McDavid is likely to get every opportunity to perform once he gets to the NHL, we can expect to see him playing as many as 18 minutes nightly with powerplay time, McDavid should put up 80 points for the 2015 – 2016 NHL Season. It appears Connor McDavid could have Taylor Hall as one of his line mates.

Is 80 points too high, low or right on for McDavid? Leave your comments below.
