Pierre-Luc Dubois trade to Montreal
Will the Montreal Canadiens make a trade for Pierre-Luc Dubois this offseason? It seems he is destined to be a Hab.

It has been a while since Pierre-Luc Dubois’ name has popped up in the NHL trade rumors mill. But chatter is starting to pick up again on what will the Winnipeg Jets do with him this offseason?

Dubois has one more year left on his RFA contract but is eligible to re-sign a long-term deal in the summer. If not agreement can be made in July, it is believed the Jets will look to trade the big forward.

Dubois has previously stated that he wasn’t interested in making a long-term commitment in Winnipeg.

Montreal Canadiens interested in a Pierre-Luc Dubois trade

Elliotte Friedman was on the Jeff Marek Radio Show and they were discussing the Winnipeg Jets and what they will do this offseason.

Friedman stated on the radio hit that the Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets have talked about a Pierre-Luc Dubois trade throughout the season.

The Habs have the draft capital, prospects and salary cap space to pull off the trade if they decide to indeed facilitate a trade for Dubois in the summer.

Dubois, 24, currently has 55 points (24g, 31a) in 61 games played this season.

What are Habs fans saying about a Pierre-Luc Dubois trade?

Dubois is headed to Montreal. That is the only team he wants to play for.

Dubois is not that good. He’s the jets 2nd line C. He’s not a franchise player and he’s no better than Suzuki or dach or whoever we draft in 23.

Not sure if I want him, he seems a bit over-rated
