Sam Lafferty trade Bruins, Lightning, Oilers
The Chicago Blackhawks want a second round pick for Sam Lafferty. The Bruins, Lightning and Oilers have interest in a Lafferty trade.

The Chicago Blackhawks are going full out on tank nation with the hopes of drafting Connor Bedard. They desperately want the #1 overall pick and are looking to trade any player with value from the team.

If a team is looking for a bottom-six forward and a quality penalty kill contributor, the Chicago Blackhawks have a player teams will be interested in.

Blackhawks forward Sam Lafferty trade coming soon

Frank Seravalli of The Daily Faceoff reports Chicago Blackhawks forward Sam Lafferty is getting trade calls. He has speed to burn, an excellent penalty killer, inexpensive Blackhawks salary cap hit with term at $1.15 million.

Seravalli went on to say in his piece that GM Kyle Davidson will be seeking a second round pick in a Lafferty trade. He states the Tampa Bay Lightning, Edmonton Oilers and Boston Bruins have interest.

What are fans saying about a Sam Laffery trade?

If you can bring back a 2nd for Lafferty you dish him, otherwise the Hawks at that contract are better off keeping him on the team for next year, they’ll need to fill a roster.

So he’ll end up in Tampa for sure. The Toronto Maple Leafs won’t be that smart. I wanted the Leafs to go after and re-sign Barbashev….but we’ll, you know

The kind of player that makes a difference comes playoffs and for the Hawks if you get a 2nd + a prospect, make the move.
