Beckett Sennecke may be one of the most interesting sophomore players in fantasy hockey heading into the 2026-27 NHL season, and I believe the Anaheim Ducks winger is ready to make another significant jump.
My 2026-27 Beckett Sennecke fantasy hockey projection is 28 goals, 43 assists and 71 points in 82 games.
That would represent an 11-point increase from the 60 points Sennecke produced as a rookie, but the intriguing part of his fantasy outlook isn’t simply natural development. It’s the potential opportunity surrounding him.
Sennecke finished his first NHL season with 23 goals and 37 assists for 60 points in 82 games, already establishing himself as a legitimate scoring threat for Anaheim. Now imagine what happens if his power-play opportunities increase while skating alongside offensive weapons such as Leo Carlsson, Mikael Granlund, Cutter Gauthier and Jackson LaCombe.
For fantasy managers, that’s where Sennecke’s potential becomes especially interesting.
Beckett Sennecke Fantasy Hockey Projection for 2026-27
Sennecke’s rookie numbers provide an excellent starting point for projecting his sophomore season.
According to NHL.com, Sennecke finished 2025-26 with 197 shots on goal and 13 power-play points. Even more impressive, 21 of his 23 goals came at even strength. He finished second among NHL rookies in points and assists while tying for the rookie lead with 23 goals.
That’s important.
When projecting young players, I don’t want to simply take last year’s point total and add 10 or 15 points because the player is a year older. I want to identify where additional production can realistically come from.
With Sennecke, the clearest path is the power play.
Beckett Sennecke Fantasy Projection
Why the Anaheim Ducks Power Play Could Unlock Another Level
This is the biggest variable in my Sennecke projection.
If Anaheim deploys a power-play group featuring Sennecke, Carlsson, Granlund, Gauthier and LaCombe, there is enough skill around the perimeter and net-front scoring ability to create significantly more production.
Sennecke recorded 13 power-play points as a rookie despite scoring just one power-play goal. NHL.com also reported that he was second among rookies with 12 power-play assists.
That’s one of the statistics that catches my attention most.
I don’t expect Sennecke to suddenly become a 15-goal power-play scorer, but increasing his power-play goal total while continuing to generate assists could push him toward 17-20 power-play points.
That alone could account for a substantial portion of the projected increase from 60 to 71 total points.
NHLTradeRumor.com Beckett Sennecke Projection Model
My projection assumes approximately the following development:
2025-26: 23 goals + 37 assists = 60 points
2026-27 projection: 28 goals + 43 assists = 71 points
That represents:
Goals: +21.7%
Assists: +16.2%
Points: +18.3%
It’s an aggressive projection, but not an outrageous one.
Sennecke already demonstrated that he can create offense at NHL speed. The bigger question is whether his role expands enough to turn a strong rookie season into a legitimate fantasy breakout.
I believe it will.
One reason I’m comfortable projecting 28 goals is Sennecke’s shot volume. He generated 197 shots as a rookie, which works out to roughly 2.4 shots per game.
A modest increase toward 220-225 shots would give him a realistic path into the upper-20s in goals without requiring an unsustainable shooting percentage.
For fantasy hockey managers, increased shot volume would also make him more valuable in category leagues even on nights when he doesn’t score.
My Fantasy Hockey Take on Beckett Sennecke
My personal view is that fantasy managers should be careful not to evaluate Sennecke only by his 60-point rookie total.
The underlying story is more interesting.
You’re looking at a 20-year-old winger who has already demonstrated NHL-level scoring ability and should be surrounded by young players who are developing at roughly the same time.
Carlsson and Gauthier can help drive Anaheim’s offense, while LaCombe gives the Ducks another legitimate puck-moving weapon from the blue line. Granlund’s playmaking ability could also give Sennecke opportunities to attack shooting areas rather than always being responsible for creating the play himself.
There’s obviously sophomore-season risk. Opponents now have a full season of NHL video on Sennecke, expectations are higher and young players don’t always develop in a straight line.
That’s why I’m stopping at 71 points rather than projecting an immediate 80-point explosion.
However, I would consider 65 points the reasonable floor area if Sennecke remains healthy and maintains his offensive role, with approximately 75-78 points representing the upside scenario if Anaheim’s power play clicks.
That makes him exactly the type of player I like targeting in fantasy drafts: his established production provides a relatively solid base, while his age and opportunity create legitimate breakout upside.
Beckett Sennecke 2026-27 Fantasy Hockey Prediction
My final prediction:
82 games
28 goals
43 assists
71 points
Projected range: 65-78 points
Sennecke doesn’t need to become Anaheim’s best player overnight to deliver excellent fantasy value.
He simply needs to turn some of the offensive opportunities he already created as a rookie into additional goals and power-play production.
If that happens, Beckett Sennecke could go from promising Anaheim Ducks rookie to one of fantasy hockey’s most valuable young breakout forwards in 2026-27.
