NHL trade rumors have the Philadelphia Flyers interested in Seth Jones. The ask would likely be 2021 first round pick, top prospect and possibly a roster player.

The Philadelphia Flyers allowed the most goals against in the 2020-21 NHL campaign and they will be looking to make off-season changes to improve their defensive play.

NHL trade rumors have been going around that Seth Jones would like to be traded. One NHL rumor already going around was a Mitch Marner for Seth Jones trade. That will likely not happen but in order to land Jones, the asking price will be very high.

Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Jones has informed the Columbus Blue Jackets he will not sign an extension at this time and plans to test free agency when his contract expires after the 2021-22 season.

Friedman was also on Sirius XM Radio and stated the Philadelphia Flyers were a serious trade candidate. “I’m sure he would probably be very interested in going to a place like Dallas or Colorado because he’s got attachments to those places; I just don’t know if I see the fit. The one team I wonder about right now is Philly: a. They can do it. And b. I wonder how Jones feels about that. That’s one of the teams I look at right now and say I would not be shocked at all if he ends up there.”

Right now there is no hockey trade rumors on what the Flyers would give up for Jones, but it would be a big asking price that includes their 2021 first round pick, top prospect and possibly a roster player.
