The Buffalo Sabres have three first round picks at the 2022 NHL draft. They have their own pick plus picks from the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers.
John Vogl of The Athletic suggests the Sabres should trade either the Vegas for Panthers first round picks for either a right-handed defenceman, a top-six forward or possibly a goaltender.
Vogl went on to say teams without a first round pick and have assets the Sabres could target are the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers and the Vegas Golden Knights.
Options from the teams mentioned above are Jake DeBrusk, Dylan Strome, Chandler Stephenson or Teuvo Teravainen.
Many NHL Analysts have said the 2022 NHL draft will be a very busy period of trades this year.
