NHL trade rumors for February 28, 2022 feature the Boston Bruins interested in Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Rasmus Ristolainen.

The Boston Bruins are looking to upgrade their defensive corps at the NHL trade deadline and NHL trade rumors have the team interested in making a Rasmus Ristolainen trade.

The Bruins were interested in Ristolainen before he decided to sign with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Elliotte Friedman was on Sportsnet’s 32 Thoughts Podcast and states Rasmus Ristolainen will get traded at the trade deadline.

Ristolainen has played in 600 NHL games and not once in the playoffs. He wants to play in the postseason and his style of play fits the playoff style of hockey which is making him attractive to playoff teams.

Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now reports Ristolainen is what the Bruins need on their blue line. Bruins general manager Don Sweeney and his staff likely have the former and longtime Sabres blueliner on their trade target board.

It is believed the Flyers want a top prospect, a first round pick and second round pick for a Ristolainen trade to be completed. This is what the Flyers paid for Rasmus when they made the trade with Buffalo.
