Steven Stamkos is in the final year of his $68 million, 8-year contract, and there are NHL trade rumors speculating that this could be his final season with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
If Stamkos decides to test free agency next summer, the Boston Bruins will have serious interest in signing him.
Will Steven Stamkos sign with the Boston Bruins?
According to the Boston Globe’s Kevin Paul Dupont, the Boston Bruins will be an interested bidder for Steven Stamkos next summer.
He is a right-shot center who would fill the missing holes left by the departures of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci.
If Stamkos is interested in a 3-4-year deal on his next contract, Boston should be all in.
Can’t see Stamkos going to any other team. He will sign a 5-year deal with the Bolts and retire after his contract expires.
