Will Minnesota Wild forward Kevin Fiala be suspended for his dirty hit on LA Kings Matt Roy?
Fiala was handed a five-minute major and a game misconduct. NHL player safety has a tendency to overlook these kinds of hits and let it pass as the five-minute major and kicked out of the game was enough of a penalty.
If you watch the video below, Fiala could have prevented the push from behind into the boards as he had time to react. Just a dumb play.
It was be interesting to see what the NHL does with this hit. My guess is a one game suspension.
