The Vancouver Canucks are looking to trade for a defenceman. Rumors are they are targeting Vince Dunn, could Jake Virtanen be going to other way?

Elliotte Friedman was on SportsNet radio and was reporting the Vancouver Canucks are looking for a defenceman.

NHL trade rumors going around have the Canucks targeting St. Louis Blues defenceman Vince Dunn who is in the dog house in St. Louis. It is believed the Blues want a 1st round pick for Dunn, but that likely will not happen. It will likely be a 2nd or 3rd round pick and a prospect, possibly a roster player. The Canucks could do a 1 for 1 trade with Jake Virtanen going back to the Blues.

The Philadelphia Flyers are also very interested in Dunn and a little bidding war could be happening.

If the Canucks cannot make a trade for Dunn, Friedman stated on the radio that the Canucks could target Travis Dermott or Victor Mete from the Montreal Canadiens to add to their backend. The Habs have a deep blueline and would be willing to trade Mete for the right price.
