The Los Angeles Kings are looking to make a few offseason moves and in order to do that they will need to clear some salary cap space.
The one player that keeps popping up in the NHL rumors mill is LA Kings forward Viktor Arvidsson. He is still under contract for one more season and makes a reasonable $4.25 million.
Kings looking to trade Viktor Arvidsson
Elliotte Friedman was on his 32 Thoughts Podcast and reports that the LA Kings have let teams know that Viktor Arvidsson is available for trade this offseason.
Friedman went on to say in his podcast hit that trading away Arvidsson will free up the Kings salary cap space to re-sign defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov and target a goalie via trade.
Arvidsson, 30, was drafted 112th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 4th round of the 2014 NHL entry draft. Currently over a career that spans 9 seasons, he has a total 347 points in 528 games played, and 34 playoffs points in 67 games played.
