The Vegas Golden Knights and Buffalo Sabres are back to talking with each other about a Jack Eichel trade.

Earlier in the offseason there was NHL trade rumors floating around that the Vegas Golden Knights wanted to make a trade for Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel. Vegas did not want to give up their blue chip prospect Peyton Krebs so trade talks were called off.

Frank Seravalli of the Daily Faceoff reports the Golden Knights have resumed talking to the Buffalo Sabres about their disgruntled former captain, Jack Eichel.

Seravalli went on to say, young guys like Nolan Patrick, Krebs, Nic Hague, and Kaedan Korczak make sense for Buffalo, while the Golden Knights would likely need to send an expensive name like Evgenii Dadonov back the other way or to a third party for it to work financially.

No one really knows what could be involved in an Eichel deal? The Sabres want to get the best return they can in blue chip assets and 1st round picks. But will a team give that up not knowing if Eichel will ever be 100% again?
