Picture of Ottawa Senators Shane Pinto. Will he be traded to the Philadelphia Flyers?
The latest NHL trade rumors for the Philadelphia Flyers have the team interested in trading for Ottawa Senators Shane Pinto.

The Ottawa Senators have some roster spots to fill but have no salary cap space to sign a significant piece to their team.

Sens forward Shane Pinto is still looking for a new contract as preseason begins for the team on Sunday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

NHL trade rumors are making the rounds that the Philadelphia Flyers have an interest in making a trade for Pinto.

Will Shane Pinto be traded to the Philadelphia Flyers?

Earlier this offseason, NHL rumors had Shane Pinto linked to the Boston Bruins. Now it appears the Philadelphia Flyers are showing interest in the center.

Darren Dreger was on TSN’s Insider Trading segment and stated that several teams have contacted General Manager Pierre Dorion about Pinto’s availability. One team that stood out was the Philadelphia Flyers.

Speculation online has the Senators asking for an NHL-ready prospect if a Pinto trade was to happen.

Dreger went on to say in his TV hit that Pinto is a key piece to the Senator’s lineup, and it is unlikely he will be traded.

What are NHL fans saying about a potential Shane Pinto trade to the Philadelphia Flyers?

Pinto is too important to the Ottawa Senators. There is no-way the team trades a stud 2-way center.

The Sens need to create cap space. Mathieu Joseph is likely being moved to free up the cap space needed.

Pinto would look awesome in a Flyers jersey. Make this trade happen ASAP!

  1. I see this as a potential epic mistake Josh Norris is still in a non contact jersey at camp and has already “tweaked” his bad surgically repaired shoulder
