John Gibson trade to Penguins or Sabres
Does John Gibson need a change of scenery? The Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres have interested in a Gibson trade this offseason.

A few teams will be in need of a starting goalie for next season and Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson is the name that keeps popping up in NHL trade rumors.

Gibson has been in the trade rumor mill for the past few seasons but nothing has materialized because of his Ducks salary cap hit of $6.4 Million.

Will the Buffalo Sabres or Pittsburgh Penguins make a trade for John Gibson?

Dan Rosen of NHL.com stated in his piece that Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry is an unrestricted free agent and he has been injury prone. Pens management may look at John Gibson for an upgrade in goalie to keep the team in playoff contention the next few seasons.

Rosen went on to say in his piece that Gibson would be a perfect fit in Buffalo. The team is built to win starting next season and they are in desperate need of a starting goalie.

What are NHL fans saying about a John Gibson trade?

Gibson needs a change of scenery. No point keeping him on a rebuilding Ducks team.

Gibson will be a Sabre next season. They have the cap space and need a starting goalie.

As a Ducks fan, not sure i want to see Gibson traded. He is the main reason we only lose games 3-1.
