Flyers are looking to trade Kevin Hayes and Ivan Provorov
The Philadelphia Flyers will be looking to clean out some big contracts with the hopes of trading Kevin Hayes and Ivan Provorov in June.

The Philadelphia Flyers have had a disappointing season and will look to clean house at the June NHL Draft 2023.

Philly ownership is secretly hoping the team tanks rest of the season to improve their odds in the tank for Connor Bedard sweepstakes.

The Flyers currently have the 8th worst record in the NHL.

Will the Flyers trade Ivan Provorov and Kevin Hayes?

Jeff Marek was on Hockey Night in Canada with Elliotte Friedman and discussed the future of the Philadelphia Flyers. They said the Flyers came close to trading Kevin Hayes but his contract made it tough to move right now.

Hayes currently has three more years at a $7.142 million Flyers salary cap hit and a modified no-trade clause.

The Flyers tried to trade Ivan Provorov at the NHL trade deadline but financials and his PR issue hampered a trade. Marek mentioned in his TV hit that Provorov will be a NHL draft trade as teams will have more salary cap space to work with in the offseason.

Provorov currently carries a $6.750 million cap hit for the next two seasons.

What are Flyer fans saying about the a Hayes and Provorov trade

Will any team even touch Kevin Hayes and his cap hit? Would we have to throw in a 1st rounder as well?

Nope…not with that contract & his lethargic attitude… Fletcher has destroyed this team yet still has a job…

Fletcher will only get a 2nd round pick for Provorov. That is all he is worth right now.
