The Edmonton Oilers have let teams know Sam Gagner is available for a trade.
Gagner has a no-trade clause that hasn’t kicked in yet. GM Craig MacTavish promised to honour it this season. Both sides may now believe it’s time for a change.
Darren Dreger of TSN states the Oilers are seeking a top-six forward, top-four defenseman or a starting goalie.
The Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers and Ottawa Senators have an interest in Gagner.
