Jonathan Drouin

Jonathan Drouin can still be traded

Sportsnet: Just because the NHL Trade Deadline has passed doesn’t restrict Jonathan Drouin from being dealt during what’s left of the 2015-16 campaign, and it may actually land GM Steve Yzerman a better haul if he’s negotiating with a non-playoff-bound rival. If players acquired in post-deadline trades they are not eligible for the playoffs. The Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators will have interest in making a trade. The Anaheim Ducks tried really hard to land Drouin at the trade deadline.

Boston will look to make a trade for a top-4 defenceman at June Draft

The Boston Globe: The Boston Bruins tried to trade Loui Eriksson for a young, top-four defenseman at the trade deadline but could not find the right deal. The Bruins will likely attempt to land that elusive defenseman near the NHL Draft in June. Boston has two first-round picks and depth in prospects to use as trade bait. The Bruins really like Minnesota Wild blueliner Matt Dumba.

Dan Hamhuis almost traded to the Dallas Stars

The Province: The Dallas Stars had a deal in place with the Vancouver Canucks for defenseman Dan Hamhuis. “It wasn’t exactly the same as the trade that eventually sent Calgary’s Kris Russell to Dallas but it was similar” The offer was taken to Canucks ownership and they wanted more.
