The Philadelphia Flyers are continuing to clean house as they are looking to trade defenseman Travis Sanheim this offseason.

Sanheim, 27, is signed for the next eight years with a $6.25 million/year contract and he might be willing to entertain a trade to a playoff contender instead of being stuck on a rebuilding team.

Winnipeg Jets, Vancouver Canucks interested in a Travis Sanheim trade

Darren Dreger was on TSN’s Insider Trading segment and reports GM Danny Briere is trying to trade Travis Sanheim to get out of the contract Sanheim signed last October.

Dreger went on to say in his TV hit that his no-trade clause kicks in on the weekend and with the Vancouver Canucks looking to change things up on the backend, Vancouver could be a good fit.

The Winnipeg Jets are another team that has interest in Sanheim who is a Manitoba native.

What are NHL fans saying about a potential Sanheim trade to Vancouver or Winnipeg?

The Jets seem like a logical trade destination. The team would like to have a Manitoba connection in the lineup.

Wow, Danny Briere is really tearing down the Flyers, they needed to do this last season to have had a better shot at winning the draft lottery and getting Connor Bedard.

Sanheim would look sweet in a Canucks Jersey. Please make this trade.
