Arizona Coyotes looking to trade Max Domi
Sportsnet: Elliott Friedman reports the Arizona Coyotes are looking around to see if there is interest in 22-year-old winger Max Domi. Friedman is quoted, “I don’t think it’s necessarily a trade where they’re looking to dump him or unload him or get rid of him,” Friedman said during Saturday’s Headlines segment on Hockey Night in Canada. “I just think they are looking around to maybe see if there is someone who feels a fresh start will help him.”
Could Rick Nash be headed to Nashville?
Sportsnet: Nick Kypreos reports the Nashville Predators are leading the charge in interest for forward Rick Nash. He submitted a no-trade list to Rangers general manager Jeff Gorton this week and it seems inevitable he’ll be dealt ahead of the Feb. 26 trade deadline. The Dallas Stars also have significant interest in Nash, adds Kypreos.
Boston Bruins trade deadline rumors
TSN: The Boston Bruins are currently comfortable in second place in the Atlantic Division, 22 points ahead of the fourth place Florida Panthers and within striking distance of the Tampa Bay Lightning for first in the division. The team doesn’t need much help for their stretch run, but they might look to add some anyway.
Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston runs down the potential additions the Bruins could look at leading up to the Trade Deadline. The players include Edmonton Oilers winger Patrick Maroon, Vancouver Canucks winger Thomas Vanek, Buffalo Sabres winger Evander Kane, and three New York Rangers: wingers Michael Grabner and Rick Nash, and defenceman Ryan McDonagh.
