Picture of Noah Hanifin. Will the Calgary Flames trade Hanifin?
Teams are calling the Calgary Flames about a potential Noah Hanifin trade. He does own an eight-team no-trade clause.

With former GM Brad Treliving deciding not to come back to the Calgary Flames and the team firing coach Darryl Sutter, player personal changes will also be coming as new GM Craig Conroy will be looking to adjust the lineup.

One player that has hit the NHL trade rumors mill is Flames defenseman Noah Hanifin. The Flames can sign him to a long-term extension this summer, but if no deal comes in July, Hanifin rumors will be swirling around all offseason.

Calgary Flames receiving calls on Noah Hanifin

Elliotte Friedman was on Hockey Night in Canada and stated that the Calgary Flames are receiving calls on Noah Hanifin’s availability.

At 26 and with a Flames salary cap hit of $4.950 million for one more season, teams would love to get their hands on the left shot defenseman.

Hanifin does own an eight-team modified no-trade clause, but that is not stopping teams inquiring about a Hanifin trade.

What are Flames fans saying about a potential Noah Hanifin trade?

If Hanifin does not sign an extension with the Flames in July, he will be traded before the season starts. Don’t want to lose him for nothing next offseason.

Almost 600 games as a 26 year old, Hanifin never gets hurt, that alone should bring us William Nylander from the Leafs.

He would look great playing along side Noah Dobson.
