Montreal Canadiens looking for offense
LA PRESSE: The Montreal Canadiens are looking at the trade market for some offensive help. The Habs could look at Arizona Coyotes right wing Mikkel Boedker, Winnipeg Jets left winger Andrew Ladd, Calgary Flames forward Jiri Hudler, Vancouver Canucks winger Radim Vrbata and Columbus Blue Jackets center Ryan Johansen as suggested trade candidates who could boost the Montreal Canadiens sagging offense.
Ryan Johansen to the Nashville Predators?
Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman is reporting the Nashville Predators have interest in Columbus Blue Jackets center Ryan Johansen. The Predators want to add a piece up front this season but they don’t want to part with one of their top-three defensemen. For a deal to happen the Predators would have to give up Seth Jones to land Johansen.
Calgary Flames exploring trade market
The Fourth Period: The Calgary Flames remain active on the trade front, looking for options that could help turn their season around. The Flames have been dangling the likes of Dennis Wideman and Kris Russell in the market, while also taking inquiries on forward Jiri Hudler.
