Mitch Marner rumors
Will the Toronto Maple Leafs be able to sign Mitch Marner or will he be traded?

Latest Mitch Marner rumors

TSN: Darren Dreger reported that Mitch Marner may look at the Zurich Lions about the possibility of training with the Swiss League club next month. Toronto Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas met with Marner’s agent Darren Ferris last week, positive talks were held , but no progress.

Dreger also states that trade interest will grow as well as the days go by.

The Maple Leafs have offered Marner between just under $9 million to roughly $11 million per season on a potential new deal based on term and added that the team had discussed three, six and seven-year deals with Marner’s camp.

Marner, 22, scored 26 goals and posted a career-high 94 points in 82 games with the Maple Leafs last season.

Jesse Puljujarvi hoping to be traded

TSN: Jesse Puljujarvi is looking for a fresh start away from the Edmonton Oilers and told Finnish television station Laari he’s hoping that includes a top-six role with his new team.

“I want a team where I get a place in one of the first two lines and where I get to play for 15 minutes per game. Then I could show what I’m going for. That is my main goal,” Puljujarvi said.

Puljujarvi’s agent Mark Lehto told Finland’s MTV Sports earlier this month that a trade remains likely, but moving the former No. 4 overall pick for a return that satisfies the Oilers is proving difficult.

Puljujarvi is a restricted free agent, though Lehto said his trade demand has nothing to do with salary negotiations. “This is not a bluff attempt,” Lehto reiterated to Finland’s Helsingin Sanomat on Monday. “Puljujärvi is and has been convinced that he needs a change. He is an NHL player.
