Will the St. Louis Blues trade Kevin Shattenkirk?

Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman suggests if it makes sense for the St. Louis Blues to trade defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk to free up salary-cap space to do something else. Friedman believes the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs could benefit from a short-term burst from acquiring Shattenkirk. While the Blues asking price for Shattenkirk was high in the past, Friedman wonders if the Blues might lower it to move him and free up room to add an element that can help them now. i.e. a goalie as Jake Allen has struggled.

Could the New Jersey Devils trade Cory Schneider

The Hockey News: New Jersey Devils GM Ray Shero could consider trading Cory Schneider. Schneider, 30, has a no-trade clause, but he might waive it to join a team with a more immediate future. The Devils could get a young puck-moving defenseman from the Dallas Stars, provided Shero agrees to take back one of the Stars’ current goalies (Kari Lehtonen or Antti Niemi) in a package deal.
