Sportsnet.ca: Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Buffalo Sabres are looking to trade forward Cody Hodgson. If the Sabres fail to find a taker via the trade market they could consider buying him out this summer. Because Hodgson is under 26 years old, it would be at one-third the remaining value of his contract over twice the remaining tenure instead of two-thirds.
CSNNE.COM: Joe Haggerty suggests the Boston Bruins should consider trading captain Zdeno Chara while they can still get value for him. Haggerty believes a trade would not likely happen until the offseason at the earliest. One thing to note, Chara has a full no-movement clause. Hard to believe the Bruins will trade him.
CSNWASHINGTON.COM: The Washington Capitals are looking to add some right wing help to the team. The Capitals could target New Jersey’s Jaromir Jagr and Michael Ryder, Buffalo’s Chris Stewart and the Senators Chris Neil.
