Will the Ottawa Senators trade Curtis Lazar?

Curtis Lazar could request a trade

Ottawa Sun: Bruce Garrioch reports trade rumors are swirling around young Senators forward Curtis Lazar, who was a healthy scratch in the club’s last four games. “Lazar’s agent J.P. Barry is meeting with Senators GM Pierre Dorion later this week, and TSN’s Darren Dreger tweeted he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Lazar requests a trade.”

Latest Boston Bruins trade rumors

The Fourth Period: The Boston Bruins want to add a top-six piece to their lineup and a depth defenseman before the March 1 trade deadline and have the salary cap space to do it. The Bruins would like to trade for Gabriel Landeskog, but Sweeney is not about to overspend for a short-term fix, but has explored other options, including Arizona Coyotes forward Martin Hanzal, who can play the wing, Dallas Stars left wing Patrick Eaves, and St. Louis Blues forward Patrik Berglund.

Dallas Stars interested in Marc-Andre Fleury

ESPN: Pierre LeBrun reports the Dallas Stars contacted the Pittsburgh Penguins regarding goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, but those discussions haven’t gone far. It’s widely assumed the Pens want to trade the 32-year-old netminder in order to protect young starter Matt Murray from the expansion draft in June. If Fleury agrees to waive his no-movement clause to join the Stars, he might give them a much-needed goaltending boost to get back into playoff contention. Signed through 2018-19, he would be more than just a rental player.
