The Fourth Period: The Buffalo Sabres would like to target a top-4 defeceman and top-6 forward. The Sabres could make a trade for Anaheim Ducks defenceman Cam Fowler. The only two realistic pieces the Sabres could offer is Evander Kane and Tyler Ennis. If the Sabres want to improve the offence they could target Matt Duchene or Gabriel Landeskog. The Sabres would have to part with young defender Jake McCabe for a trade to happen.
The LA Kings are interested in Matt Duchene or Gabriel Landeskog
The Fourth Period: The LA Kings have had exploratory discussions with the Colorado Avalanche about Matt Duchene and Gabriel Landeskog, but nothing has materialized, to date. If a deal is worked out for either Landeskog or Duchene, and there are no guarantees the Avs pull the trigger on a move involving either player during the regular-season, the Kings would have to include one of defensemen Alec Martinez or Jake Muzzin as part of a package.
Kings already have guys like Landeskog in the line-up. Kings need a sniper to complement Kopitar, and that is Duchene!
Landeskog and Second Round Pick to L.A. for Muzzin, 1st round pick should be enough but a compensatory pick should be thrown in for L.A
